Don’t Look at Your Cellphone!

At least when you’re on the street

I was returning from the pet shop with my cat food (two 3 kg bags) and litter (two 8.5 kg bags). I was just four blocks away from home.

One block before getting home, I was really tired and my hands were hurting badly because of the bag handles, so I put everything down on a wall and rested my back for a little while.

When I checked my phone, I decided to reply to an IG message. Then I heard a bike coming from my left. I looked over, and the bike was riding on the sidewalk. I stepped back, thinking it was a delivery bike and wanting to let them pass…

And they fucking snatched my cellphone.

I was quick (and close enough) to get home and block the phone, but regardless, I lost a lot of photos because of a moment of distraction.

There you go, folks: don’t look at your cellphone! Or hold it tight!
